The Broadmeadows Community Disability Expo 2026 was a fantastic opportunity to connect with participants, families, carers, support workers and fellow providers from across the local community.
Help at Hand Support Services was proud to be part of an event that brought people together to explore services, share knowledge and build meaningful connections. After a run of grey, rainy days across Melbourne, the sun made a welcome return for the expo, and the bright, crisp morning set a warm and hopeful tone for the day ahead.
A Fantastic Day in Broadmeadows
The event was held at The Meadows Conference and Events Centre on Northcorp Boulevard, the venue offered a spacious, accessible and easy-to-navigate setting for exhibitors and attendees alike. With free onsite parking for cars and buses right at the door, getting to the expo was simple for families, support workers and visitors travelling from across the region.
The expo created a welcoming and inclusive space where attendees could explore a wide range of disability services, ask questions and gain valuable information about the supports available within their community. One of the sweet moments of the day was spotting a few gorgeous guide dogs padding calmly between stalls alongside their handlers, a lovely reminder of just how many forms support can take.
With providers from across the disability sector in attendance, visitors had the opportunity to discover new services, compare support options and connect directly with organisations dedicated to helping people achieve their goals.
It was encouraging to see so many meaningful conversations taking place throughout the day, reinforcing the importance of events that bring the community together.
Meaningful conversations that matter
One of the highlights of the day was speaking with participants, families, carers and support workers who visited the Help at Hand Support Services stand.
Every conversation was unique. Some people were exploring their NDIS options for the first time, while others were looking for a provider that better suited their individual needs and goals. We were grateful for the opportunity to answer questions, share information about our services and learn more about the experiences of those we met.
Building genuine relationships starts with listening, and events like this allow us to better understand how we can continue providing personalised, person-centred support.
Connecting With Local Providers
Community disability expos are also an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships across the sector.
It was wonderful to connect with allied health professionals, support coordinators, housing providers and other disability organisations that all play an important role in supporting participants throughout their NDIS journey.
Working collaboratively helps create stronger pathways to support and ensures participants have access to the services and information they need to make informed choices.
Thankyou to the Organisers and Everyone Involved
A sincere thank you to the Disability Events Community for organising another successful expo and creating a space where people could connect, learn and engage with local services.
We also extend our thanks to all the exhibitors, volunteers and attendees who contributed to making the event such a positive experience. It was fantastic to see the local disability community come together on such a beautiful day, and we appreciate everyone who took the time to visit and have a conversation.
A special thank you to Leora Healthcare for providing complimentary barista-made coffee to the first 200 attendees, which was a great addition to the day.

How does this connect to Ongoing NDIS Support
At Help at Hand Support Services, attending community disability expos is about more than simply showcasing our services. These events allow us to strengthen relationships within the local community, better understand the evolving needs of participants and families, and connect people with the supports that best suit their individual goals.
By participating in events like the Broadmeadows Community Disability Expo, we encourage informed choice, open conversations and stronger community connections. These experiences help us continue delivering personalised, high-quality NDIS support that empowers participants to live with greater independence, confidence and choice.
