Finding the right NDIS support can feel overwhelming — especially when you are searching for providers who truly understand your local community. For families, participants and carers across the Hills District and Greater Western Sydney, the Hills Community Disability Expo 2026 was exactly the kind of event that makes that search a little easier.
Held on Thursday 18 June 2026 at Castle Hill RSL, the expo brought together NDIS participants, families, carers, support workers, support coordinators and disability providers from across the Hills District for a day built around connection, informed choice and community.
Help at Hand Support Services was proud to attend and sponsor this year’s event alongside fellow sponsors Scope Disability Services and Enrich Abilities.
Why Showing Up in Your Community Matter
One of the most important — and often overlooked — parts of finding the right NDIS support is having the chance to meet providers face to face. Reading a website or scrolling through a directory can only tell you so much. A real conversation, in a real space, with real people tells you far more.
This is why Help at Hand Support Services actively attends and sponsors community disability expos across New South Wales — including right here in the Hills District. As a nationally registered NDIS and aged care provider, we are committed to being present in the communities we serve, not just visible online.
For NDIS participants in Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Kellyville, Rouse Hill and the broader Hills District, events like the Hills Community Disability Expo offer a rare and valuable opportunity to meet trusted providers in person, ask the questions that matter and make more informed choices about your support.
A Bigger Venue, A Bigger Community
Now in its second year, the Hills Community Disability Expo has already established itself as one of the most valued disability community events in Greater Western Sydney. The move to a larger venue at Castle Hill RSL this year reflected just how much the event has grown — and how deeply it is valued by the community it serves.
From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and full of purpose. Families arrived seeking guidance on navigating the NDIS. Participants came hoping to find disability services that truly matched their individual goals and lifestyles. Support coordinators and industry professionals spent the day building meaningful relationships that translate into better outcomes for the people they support.
A special thank you to Enrich Abilities for providing free barista-made coffee to the first 200 attendees — a small but thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the day.
The Conversations That Matter Most
For the Help at Hand Support Services team, the highlight of every community expo is always the conversations.
Throughout the day, we had the privilege of speaking with NDIS participants at various stages of their support journey, parents and family members searching for the right disability services for their loved ones, and support coordinators working hard to improve outcomes across the sector.
Every conversation reinforced what we already know: people do not just want a service provider. They want someone who listens, who understands their circumstances and who is committed to supporting them to live with greater independence, confidence and dignity.
In the NDIS sector, that kind of genuine, person-centred connection is not just valuable — it is everything.
